Galileo Carried "with "spacecraft

This is an interesting cover which went for a reasonably good amount ($60) on ebay. This cover bears the cachet of the famous Galileo Spacecraft which was was launched Oct. 18, 1989, arrived at Jupiter on Dec. 7, 1995, and undertook its tour of Jupiter over the next two years. As written on the signed cover,  it has been carried with the Galileo spacecraft from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to the Kennedy Space center. It marked the first leg of the Jupiter project. The Cover departed the JPL at Pasadena on 19th Dec 1985 and reached the Kennedy Space Center on 22nd Dec 1985. That was approx 4 years before the actual launch.
So basically the cover has been carried "with" the spacecraft , ( not in it) and also on land, so the cover can be considered as purely philatelic and not actually a Space cover.
My understanding is many of the bidders have just got swayed by the inscription carried with Galileo Spacecraft and did not check the dates with the actual launch. For me I would have considered it a $15 cover. If anyone wishes to differ with me, please let me know. Comments are welcome on this.
