Snowmobile Mail, USA

This cover was carried in a Snowmobile by Ralph Plaisted in his expedition to North pole.

In March 1966, Ralph got permission from the Canadian government and a sponsorship from a company that manufactured snowmobiles, Bombardier Ski-Doo. This cover was carried with the expedition as philatelic mail and mailed on the way back, at Eureka, Northwest Territories on May 7, 1967.

Another Snowmobile Mail cover from the 1983 West Antarctic Tectonic Survey Expedition conducted by Great Britain and US joint team.  A US Navy cover addressed to Capt Robert Murch.
