A new section of aerophilately: one dedicated to the drones. These innovative radio-controlled flying machines, which are attracting so much interest  around the world, have been the focus of recent "Rome Drone Expo Show", the first air show on drones held in late May at the "Alfredo Berra Stadium" in Rome. 

On the occasion of the event, sponsored by the cultural Ifimedia and organized by Mediarkè, there was a mobile post office has a special cancellation.  Also, was organized the first experiment of "mail via drone" in Italy.
Both initiatives were promoted by the journalist Luciano Castro, event organizer and president of Ifimedia.

24 and the words "1st Air Show on drones in Italy." It was used to cancel 73 envelopes philatelic prepared for the occasion, with some descriptive stamps on the back and on the back. These envelopes have been loaded into a special container on a drone quadricopter "ADPM Quad-X", who made ​​a short demonstration flight (lasting 3 minutes and 5 seconds) in the area of "Alfredo Berra Stadium".
The flight was remote controlled remotely by the pilot David L. Cimino of the start-up AD Precision Mechanics Monterotondo (Rome). Castro Cimino and then signed the 73 envelopes.
